FEB 03 Mark Hamilton.
Founder, President and CEO of H & H Staffing Services, Inc.
 
H & H Staffing Services, Inc.,a staffing firm serving business throughout North Georgia, and Applied Wisdom LLC, an executive coaching and consulting firm. In 1999, H & H Staffing was named the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the year. Mark spent 20 years in corporate America in a wide range of sales, management and senior management positions around the country before founding H & H Staffing in 1998, and Applied Wisdom in 2003. MAY 06 Harold Earls
Activities Director, First Redeemer Church.
 
Harold has lived in the Polo subdivision for many years and is an avid ALTA tennis player on the Polo Tennis Team. He was in business for many years before going on staff with First Redeemer. Harold is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and he and his wife Sonia have two children.

AUG 05 Kent Nelson.
Owner, Atlanta Cooks & Uniform
 

Kent went to work for Kuppenheimer Mens Clothiers out of college and ten months later he was the leading salesman in the United States. Kent was in TV commercials with Mickey Mantle, Tommy Lasorda, Harry Carrie and many more. After Kuppenheimer went out of business Kent sold men's clothing on his own and he now owns Atlanta Cooks & Uniform which supplies Hotels and restaurants with uniforms. Kent has lived in Polo for one year and is President of the Alpharetta Optimist civic club soon to be South Forsyth Optimist. Kent just completed his 8th annual golf tournament at Polo on July 31st giving the proceeds to children with Autism here in Cumming. Kent renamed this golf tournament the Ken Alexander Memorial Golf Tournament in honor of Ken Alexander who greatly impacted Kent's life. Kent originally got involved helping families of children with Autism at his church Alpharetta Presbyterian which runs the Lionheart School ( http://www.thelionheartschool.com/ ). Kent found out about one year ago that his 3 year old daughter has Autism. The next golf tournament at Polo to benefit children with Autism will be in May, 2007 and anyone interested in this can e-mail Kent at knelson05@comcast.net.


NOV 04 Dr. Mike Hogan,
Surgeon and former Chief of Staff
 
Founder of the LEADER Safe Driving Program - Dr. Hogan was born in Merseyside England in 1944 and was the oldest son of nine children. He started work at age 15 as an apprentice engineer at a large glass manufacturer and progressed from a mechanic, to a draftsman, to a designer, and to a research engineer. Dr Hogan emigrated to Canada at age 23 and took a job with Hallmark Cards in Toronto where he worked in production, became the plant manager, Marketing Manager, and finally Director of Corporate Development. He got his degree in biology attending part time in Toronto and entered Medical School at age 34 at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario. Dr Hogan became an orthopedic surgeon and obtained fellowships in Major joint reconstruction and a second fellowship in sports medicine. Dr. Hogan moved to Cumming in 1986 as a surgeon and has worked here since then holding many positions from Chief of Staff to member of the Board for what is today Northside Hospital, Forsyth. He started the LEADER Safe Driving Program 6 years ago in response to the number of children being slaughtered on our roads. Dr. Hogan has four children and six grandchildren and has lived in Polo since he moved to Cumming. He is a member of the Northside speakers Bureau for Medical Education and a Clinical Associate Professor for North Georgia College.
