AUG 19 Gary Jordan,
Retired Healthcare Industry Executive,
Consultant and Business Owner; President Polo HOA.

Gary is a native of the Athens, GA area and graduate of the University of Georgia. Upon graduating from UGA, he started his business career with Johnson & Johnson and was employed by several other well-known multi-national healthcare industry companies over the next 30 years; e.g., Bayer, Smith + Nephew and St. Jude Medical (now part of Abbott Laboratories). He finished his “mainstream, big corporate” career with Johnson & Johnson serving as President of its Cordis subsidiary with revenue responsibility of approximately $1 Billion and over 2,000 full time employees.

In late 2000, Gary and his wife, Connie, returned to Georgia and settled in Polo G&CC and Gary started his “non-traditional, entrepreneurial, second and third” careers. Over the next 5 years, he was part of an executive team leading a start-up in laser vision correction from pre-IPO through IPO stages. He also served as President of a turnaround company focused on marketing and development of innovative vascular products and contract manufacturing for other healthcare industry companies.

After that company was acquired in 2004 by a venture capital firm, Gary established his consulting company focused on the healthcare industry. His clients include Global 50 companies, start-ups and investors generally interested in implantable devices and break through technologies. Most recently he also established a company to represent a Next Generation Gene Sequencing laboratory providing tests for predictive assessment of cancer risks and pre-conception testing for hereditary career diseases (e.g., catastrophic diseases, such as sickle cell, muscular atrophy and many others).

Since late November of 2016, Gary has also served our community as President of the Polo Golf & Country Club Homeowners’ Association.
